Suitable for indoor or outdoor use, our new 3W colour temperature changable deck / spot lights provide 300 lumens of light at a beam angle of 36 degrees. They are designed to be installed in to decking, soffits and kitchen kick plinths via a 33-36mm diameter hole. The IP66 rating means they can withstand the external elements which increases their versitility. They need to be powered from a suitable 12v DC LED Driver and a CCT controller which we can also provide.

These light fittings need a connection cable to connect the first light to the controller. Extension cables will also be required is you need to space the fittings further apart than the cable allows. A driver and a CCT controller/remote combination complete the components required.

To calculate the driver (power supply), multiply the energy consumption in Watts (W) by the number of lights. In this instance, the energy rating is 3 Watts (for the whole light fitting) so multiply this value by the number of lights and add 25% so the driver is not operating at full capacity. An example if 10 lights are used is to multiply 3 x 10 = 30 watts and add 25% = 7.5 watts. So any LED driver with a minimum specification of 37.5 Watts at 12V DC will suffice. If you want to leave a bit of room to expand the number of lights at a later date, select a larger driver to accommodate the new lights. The driver will only consume the electricity required by the lights so a 30w driver will consume approximately the same amount of electricity as a 100w driver with the same number of lights.
