How long do LEDs bulbs last?

The lifetime of our LED bulbs is quoted in hours of use, where 1,000 hours is reckoned to be equivalent to 1 year's use. LED bulbs are rated at 20,000 + hours and are typically much greater. However, these figures are not a guarantee as light bulbs in general are classed as consumables.

How long do your bulbs take to reach full brightness?

Unlike most compact fluorescent energy saving bulbs, our LED bulbs reach full brightness immediately and continue at the same brightness.

What does 10-30v DC mean?

Most of our 12v DC bulbs work in the range of 10 to 30V DC. This means they are suitable for both 12 and 24 volt applications with enough overhead to cover the over voltage which occurs during charging.

Can I use a laptop power supply to power 12v lighting?

Generally the answer is "no". The power supplies we sell are all constant voltage which are essential when powering LEDs. They contain extra circuitry to ensure a more regulated DC supply which in turn removes any potential for flicker.
